Transit Hotel sets on the Future

Opened on September 11, 1908, the Transit Hotel, Was famously known as the "First and Last Chance Saloon." A convenient and popular place to go for that first beer after stepping off the train into Edmonton, and a place to have that last chance beer before travelling to Fort Saskatchewan.

Strategically placed on the corner of Fort road and 66th street, this historic landmark has been apart of Alberta's identity and history for over a century. As the hotel building has changed, so has the area around it.
