Porsche Experience Centre to Open in Canada by 2024

Pickering, Ontario is set to get its first Porsche Experience Center (PEC) by 2024. Currently, there are only two others in North America: in Atlanta, and in L.A.

The site, located just east of Toronto, will be housed in the exciting “Durham Live” development, which already boasts a casino; there are plans for a 300-plus-room luxury hotel, nearly half-a-million square feet of retail space, and a concert venue.

Porsche Experience Center Toronto will feature a two-kilometre driving circuit open to Porsche and non-Porsche owners alike; staff expert Porsche driving instructors who will oversee a variety of driving modules; host current and historic Porsche exhibitions; and include a cafe and Porsche shop.

Unsurprisingly, the automaker plans to incorporate electric vehicle charging infrastructure into the PEC, to build on its existing Destination Charging program. The site build and design will focus on leaving an environmentally responsible footprint, with the aim to incorporate sustainable technologies.

“Porsche is more than just a car. Porsche is a promise for a unique brand and product experience and since the first opening in Silverstone in 2008, our Porsche Experience Centres are the best way to get this promise,” says Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche.

The PEC is slated to be open to visitors year-round, and is the first urban iteration of its kind.
