Loewen Leadership Campaign Kicks Off Tomorrow

The campaign to elect Todd Loewen as leader of Alberta’s United Conservative Party will be held on June 7th, 2022 in Valleyview, Alberta.
The program will begin promptly at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.) at the Crabbie Goat Distillery, located at 22249 Township Road 704, Valleyview, Alberta, T0H 3N0.
The event will also be broadcast live beginning at 6 p.m. on Todd Loewen’s Facebook Page.
Loewen, the MLA for Central Peace-Notley, joins current UCP MLA Brian Jean, former Wildrose leader Danielle Smith, and former finance minister Travis Toews.
“I never saw myself having to do this, but I think it’s necessary to make the changes we need in government,” Loewen said.
He was elected as a UCP MLA but now serves as an independent MLA after the United Conservative Party removed him and MLA Drew Barnes, from caucus in May last year for challenging Premier Jason Kenney’s leadership in a letter and calling for his resignation.
