Liquor And Weed Stores - Now Require Vax Pass

In Quebec, the Legault government is making it necessary to have vaccine passports for those who wish to shop at the stores of the Société des alcools du Québec and the Société québécoise du cannabis, Le Journal de Montréal reported on Tuesday.
Citing anonymous government sources, the report says a decision on barring unvaccinated Quebecers from the liquor and cannabis outlets will be made this week, as COVID-19 caseloads continue to soar and public pressure increases on the government to crack down on those who refuse to be inoculated against the virus.
The logistics of such a policy — including how and where the passport will be scanned once a customer is inside a SAQ or SQDC store — have yet to be finalized.
The report says that while customers would have to present proof of vaccination, no such requirement would be imposed on the employees serving them.
