Ghislaine Maxwell Dumped By Her Husband Over Phone Call

According to sources, Ghislaine Maxwell exchanged a phone call with her husband in which he told the convicted child sex trafficker that their marriage was over.

Scott Borgerson, a shipping entrepreneur, left Maxwell for Kris McGinn, a 49-year-old writer and yoga teacher, a source told Mail on Sunday.

“There was a dramatic phone call between them, while she was in jail in solitary confinement. It became confrontational., the Mail reported. “Scott told her he had moved on and was seeing someone else.”

Sources add that the split happened before her trial began in late November.

“At first, Scott stood by her and wrote letters to the court and offered joint assets to try and get Ghislaine out on bail.

“But she has been behind bars for 549 days now. It put a terrible strain on the marriage.”

Borgerson, 46, and Maxwell, 60, secretly wed in 2016 after Borgerson split with his wife and the mother of his two children. Borgerson and Maxwell had previously lived together at a beachfront home in Manchester-on-Sea, but following Epstein’s arrest for sex crimes in 2019, Maxwell fled the home “to protect her step children.”

“The Maxwells insisted on sending her away, but Scott insisted he could protect her if someone tried to invade their property,”

“The relationship with Scott was a real love story. But after Epstein killed himself (in August 2019) and the focus turned to Ghislaine, their relationship became strained.”

Maxwell currently faces up to 65 years in prison.
