David Suzuki is Hiring an Elections Campaigner for Upcoming Federal Election

The broadcaster, author, and environmental scientist is branching out. The David Suzuki Foundation co-founder is hiring Elections Campaigners for the upcoming federal election in Canada.
Does this mean Suzuki the nature advocate is running for office? While most would be seeing Suzuki heading the Green Party, that could give the environmentally-focused group a fighting chance (especially with Annamie Paul half out the door), that’s not exactly the plan.
In a non-partisan fashion, The David Suzuki Foundation will use campaigners, policy analysts, and public engagement specialists to support the foundation’s intervention in the upcoming federal election and the June 2022 Ontario provincial election.
The open positions are one-year contract full-time jobs based in Toronto or Vancouver (or remote, Covid-pending). Think you’re the right fit for the role? Suzuki’s team is passionate and well-funded, with a salary of $45,000 - $55,000 and a four-day work week.

Campaigners will push TDS Foundation’s primary campaigns such as biodiversity protection and climate solutions. Recently, Suzuki is prioritizing the security of peat moss in wetlands as Canadian ecosystems are consistently overrun by conversion for agriculture. “For Climate’s sake, save the peat!” The goal is for Canadians to vote in the federal election with these critical issues in mind.
According to their website, The David Suzuki Foundation is “Always grounded in sound evidence; the Suzuki Foundation empowers people to take action in their communities on the environmental challenges we collectively face. Through evidence-based research, policy analysis, education and citizen empowerment, we conserve and protect the natural environment to create a sustainable Canada.”
TDS Foundation also encourages applications from visible minorities, Indigenous persons, persons with disabilities, and all sexual and gender orientations. “Our mission is to protect nature’s diversity and the well-being of all life, now and for the future. Our vision is that we all act every day on the understanding that we are all One with Nature #OneNature”
