BREAKING: Ex-Conservative staffer charged with murder of family



A former Conservative staffer for Mike Lake, Harper's former Secretary of Industry, has been charged with murder.


Rakesh David, 25, is charged with the murder of his grandmother, mother and brother which occurred on September 24, 2021. David, a duel citizen of Trinidad and Tobago and Canada, is also charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of a firearm to endanger life and possession of ammunition to endanger life. The victims were identified as 77-year-old Kumari Kowlessar-Timal of O’Meara Road, Arima, 48-year-old Radeshka Timal and 22-year-old Zachary David, both Canadian nationals and residents of Don Miguel Road, San Juan.

Their bodies were found at San Juan, killed by a bullet to the head on Republic Day. David was arrested that same day. David was charged by acting Sgt Fareed Mohammed on Friday.
