Alleged "Suspicious Fire" Breaks out in Liberal MP's Office

Peel Police allege that constituency office of Liberal MP Peter Fonseca was targeted after a suspicious fire broke out on Tuesday morning.
Crews were called to the fire in a strip mall on Burnhamthorpe Road, near Tomken Road, just after 4 a.m.
The fire was extinguished and three units in the plaza sustained damaged. No injuries were reported.
Police say it appears some sort of incendiary device was thrown through the glass front door of the constituency office. A security camera above the door was also spray painted over.
In a statement to CityNews, Peter Fonseca says the incident “is extremely disconcerting and has shaken his staff,” as well as area businesses and residents. He would not elaborate citing the active investigation.
A burger restaurant next door to Fonseca’s office is boarded up and has signs up saying “closed until further notice.
